Dan and Tony are two members of the Melbourne-based indie rock band Colouring Cats. Join them as they discuss their lives in and out of the band as it stumbles (hopefully) towards fame, recognition, success.
Starting a band, it turns out, involves less sex, drugs, and rock n roll than Dan and Tony’s pre-teen selves once imagined. They chat weekly about the processes of song-writing, instrument-playing, audio-producing, plus the pains of getting a five-piece band together once a week to practice for just like, four hours.
How to Colour Cats is a podcast about what it’s like to make music before anyone really cares that you’re making music. It’s about the slow and grueling and hopefully eventually rewarding creative process of creating stuff. Anyone who’s ever tried to make anything can relate.
